Are you ready for more of that fantastic Hampton Designer Showhouse guest suite? The room is all the buzz on some of our favorite blogs (Quintessence, Habitually Chic, Nest by Tamara, Dan's Papers, and others). Traditional Home recently posted some beautiful photos via their facebook gallery. But we know that designers by their very nature are detail-oriented. Considering that, we are listing out which textiles were used, which finishes were selected and where each decorative accent was obtained.
In our first "get the look" post, we provided information for our resources for the wall color, custom rug and all of the beautiful products on the left side of he suite. Today we will explore the other side of the suite and any other details we might have missed in the first post.
Are you ready? Let's begin:
1. More great work from artist Douglas Freeman. The suite featured many works, this one is a large acrylic on canvas that really reflects the airy, serene vibe of the room. The framed work on the wall to the left is also by Douglas. See more of his work on his portfolio site.
2. Another lovely Pearson 1633 Side Chair covered in Tie Dyed Italian indigo Linen with a lumbar pillow covered in Pearson's Lucky Dragon fabric. This mirrors the chair on the other side of the room, and is yet another example of the symmetry Jennifer used to achieve a sense of calm in the suite.
3. Pearson's skirted 2399-2 sofa frame is covered in their 6557-92 fabric. This is a 100% linen chenille from Belgium that is exclusively available through Pearson. This beautiful combination lends the room a perfectly relaxed yet tailored look. It hits the vibe of the Hamptons perfectly. This particular textile has a wonderfully soft hand and would make any upholstered piece, especially a sofa in a guest suite, very pleasurable to sit upon.
4. Pearson's extremely popular bunching tables with gilded legs and fretwork feet. These are so pretty that I offered you a close-up shot below. (See number 8 for an overhead shot of the dazzling shagreen tops.)
5. This beautiful brass floor lamp is Circa's Pimlico Boom Arm Pharmacy Floor Lamp. I love it for the intellectual characteristics it lends. The tripod base is fabulous! Such a nice choice.
6. Now we get a terrific look at that Circa chandelier and the beautiful ceiling detail. Heather Clawson of Habitually Chic took this photo. The pendant is Circa's Metal Banded Pendant. The ceiling, like the walls, is painted in Pratt & Lambert's Mica wall paint. Subtle yet sophisticated. This is a great way to do soft blue while clearly avoiding a "we're having a boy" look.
7. Now on to one of my favorite new Pearson pieces: the Travertine top table with bronzed iron legs. This is a relatively new introduction. The shape is modern and refreshing. The bouquet of hydrangeas is from NDI. They provided florals for the entire showhouse and are a brand well known for their lifelike arrangements. By now you might have noticed the Circa Medium Stacked Pot Form Ceramic Table Lamp holding court with its interesting silhouette. The Arteriors Home "Judd" Glass Rope Cloche is a nice touch to reinforce in the beachfront mood of the room.
8. Those shagreen tops, an adorable silver crab for holding Jennifer's business cards resting atop a copy of The History of Surfing by Matt Warshaw (a title some consider to be the definitive guide to the surfer lifestyle). The book's jacket colors and subject matter manage to tie the entire room together in a neat and tidy bow. A tiny detail some might overlook, but it's a glimpse into Jennifer McConnell's creative prowess. No detail is overlooked!
9. Lest you miss them, here is a look at these incredible ottomans. Note the hooved feet with silverleaf detail. The seat is covered in custom dyed hide. These are Pearson's 165 ottomans finished in their 313 linen finish. Back to that bright tangerine hide: it is not a textile Pearson keeps in stock but they will be happy to source that for customers and send cuttings for approval.
And I believe that's it! If you are able to tour the 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse yourself, please note that most pieces seen above are for sale. Feel free to inquire about pricing during your visit. Thank you for stopping by!
